We review investments that fit our investment criteria. We look for opportunities with the following essential characteristics:

• Seed to early-stage: we prefer opportunities that still need support to develop into mature businesses
• Markets: preference for industrial solutions in energy, appliances, construction, transportation, metal processing
• Geography: worldwide, but with a focus on Western Europe
• Investment size: up to 10 million EUR (incl. follow-on rounds), but willing to invest below 100K EUR in the incubation phase
• Business models: we look for both industrial models (production) and commercial models (e.g. licensing) with high growth value creation and sustainable competitive advantage

In addition to this, we also pay a lot of attention to the intangible aspects of the opportunities we get. In that sense, we like:

• … disruptive ideas and inventions
• … unique material solutions for a better world
• … solid entrepreneurial teams
• … sustainable business models

But we do not like:

• … technology in search of an application
• … me too’s
• … trust issues
• … lack of vision
